7th Principle Wake-Up Call--The
Sequel The bond between young people and the natural
environment is rapidly eroding, revealing serious physical,
psychological, social and environmental implications. The
problem has grown beyond simply 'who will care for the Earth';
it threatens to make this the first generation with a life
expectancy shorter than its parents. In light of this crisis,
how can we best work toward fulfilling our 7th principle of
respect for the interdependent web of all existence? |

themes for our own lives. |

Unitarian Universalist Service
Our service typically includes congregational singing, inspirational readings, a time for silent meditation, a diverse selection of music and a sermon. The sermons, readings and music at UUCC draw inspiration from many sources and cultures. The words used in a guided meditation may sound like prayer but they are usually not addressed to, or request the support of a supernatural deity. Time is also allowed for the sharing of "Joys and Concerns". People attending the service may voluntarily share with the congregation births, deaths, particular struggles, and changes in relationships. Members of the congregation participate with the minister and/or guest speaker in planning and leading services.
